Our new sign for the Beaver Island Stone Circle was completed and erected in July of 2015. The funding for the sign came from a grant graciously donated by the Ancient Artifact Preservation Society of Marquette, Michigan and private donations. Volunteers assisted to place and secure the sign which is located in the Southwest quadrant of the circle. A big thanks goes out to Sue Belanger, seen at left, the Education Chair of AAPS, who was instrumental in working to have the project completed. This informational signage will inform visitors to the stone circle of the size and alignments of the medicine wheel structure and hopefully help to preserve the site for many years to come.
